Charging and Remissions Policy

Risley Lower Grammar is a state funded church school and education is free at the point of delivery. In order to enrich the curriculum we are allowed to ask for voluntary contributions towards some or all of the costs connected with providing additional educational activities.  These include individual music tuition in school and educational visits or visitors. We are also allowed to ask for voluntary contributions to cover the costs of lost school equipment and books, as well as breakages and damages to school buildings, furniture or property.

The school charges for meals at lunchtime for children in years three, four, five and six. If your family receives certain government benefits then you may be eligible for free school meals. Please contact the school office for further details.

If your child is in reception or years one or two they will be offered a universal infant free school meal.
